The Victoria University student loan scheme offers student loans designed to help students with paying their study-related costs.

The maximum loan amount which you can apply for is $500. If you need to borrow more than $300 or you are under the age of 18, you will need to present a guarantor in order to qualify for the loan.

Qualify as a guarantor

The guarantor must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident of the country. The guarantor cannot be a university student or a staff member of our university unless the worker is your relative. If you are an international student, you do not have to provide a guarantor.

Bookshop vouchers and paying expenses

The personal loan can be paid in the form of a Victoria University bookshop voucher so that it can be used directly for the purchase of textbooks and other study materials. If you require the loan amount for paying rent or living expenses, the granted amount can be paid directly into your bank account.
